ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Tech Lead Engineer to lead the development of our jet-powered UAV interceptor and coordinate the engineering team throughout the full product development cycle — from prototype and testing to pre-series production.
This role combines hands-on engineering expertise, technical leadership, testing and validation, and close coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and contractors.
REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of aircraft and UAV engineering, including fixed-wing UAV architecture, jet propulsion systems, flight control systems, and avionics.
Experience working with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design documentation.
Experience supporting products through R&D, prototyping, testing, validation, and New Product Introduction (NPI).
Ability to organize, conduct, and analyze ground and flight testing.
Strong understanding of technical risk management and the ability to identify and resolve design or integration issues.
Experience preparing technical reports, test protocols, engineering change documentation, and other technical records.
Experience working with external manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors.
Strong engineering leadership and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary technical teams.
Experience building, managing, or developing engineering teams.
Data-driven approach to engineering decisions, based on telemetry, test results, and technical analysis.
Strong focus on delivery, technical quality, project milestones, and deadlines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development of a jet-powered UAV interceptor and coordinate technical activities across the project.
Organize and coordinate the work of the engineering team and involve additional specialists when required.
Ensure manufacturing and assembly of prototypes in accordance with approved engineering documentation.
Coordinate manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors responsible for components and subsystems.
Implement engineering solutions and design changes developed by the R&D team.
Organize and conduct ground testing.
Organize and conduct flight testing.
Collect, analyze, and communicate test results to the engineering team for further product improvement.
Ensure the UAV achieves the approved flight and technical performance requirements.
Identify technical risks at an early stage and coordinate corrective actions.
Prepare the UAV platform for transition from prototype development to pre-series production.
Ensure preparation of technical documentation, test reports, and validation records.
Support engineering hiring, onboarding, and team development.
Protect and maintain the overall technical architecture of the product.
